Discovering Disability Group Homes

A Group Home, also known as shared home or shared
accommodation, is a supportive home environment for individuals
with disabilities. Our Group Homes are designed to provide the
assistance, support, and supervision that residents need to live as
independently as possible.

Unleashing Independence in Group Homes

At Personalised Care, our Group Homes bring together individuals
with disabilities to live in a welcoming and inclusive community.
With the support of skilled staff available 24/7, residents can make
friends, participate in community activities, and experience all the
joys of shared living.

Accessing NDIS Support for Disability Group Homes

At Personalised Care, we understand that navigating the NDIS funding system can be confusing and overwhelming. That's why we're here to help!

When it comes to accessing NDIS support for Disability Group Homes, it's important to understand that the funding provided is based on your individual needs and requirements. The NDIS will work with allied health professionals to assess the impact of your disability on your mobility, self-care, and cognition, as well as the type of housing and other supports you need to achieve your housing goals.

NDIS Funding for Group Homes

The NDIS provides funding for accommodation in Group Homes for people with high-level functional impairments or high support needs through the SDA funding. However, please note that this funding only covers the costs of housing, not services or supports.

On the other hand, SIL funding is available for the assistance and services you may need in a Group Home setting. This funding is designed to cover the costs of supports, rather than the costs of the accommodation itself.

How to Access NDIS Support for Group Homes

The process of accessing NDIS support for Disability Group Homes starts with a planning meeting with your NDIS planner. During this meeting, you will need to demonstrate why this type of accommodation is reasonable and necessary for your individual situation.
